It will not influence blood pH because only tiny amounts of CO2 are absorbed. If you don’t drink excessive amounts (after all it is a slightly acidic drink), it’s completely harmless. ![]() Carbonated water dissociates into water and CO2 in the stomach and makes you burp. I’m just saying this because here in this thread I get the impression that some people think this stuff is somewhat harmful. Regular tap water tasted flat to me and did not seem to quench my thirst. As a kid I could choose between sweet carbonated water (lemon or orange) and sour carbonated water (Sprudel). I‘d guess half of Germany drinks carbonated water.
